Pangea

Handpan ecosystem

an ecosystem, not a shop

Pangea is what happens when the people who build handpans and the people who play them share the same ground. Every pan carries a passport: where it was born, how it sounds, everywhere it has been. Come for the instrument — stay for the odd, generous people around it.

Sketch — Pangea’s home. Only the instrument cards are real links so far.

Meet a few pans

Two real instruments, with real passports. Open one and see what a handpan remembers about itself.

One shell, one identity — and a whole ecosystem around it

Todo cuelga del pasaporte. Cada rol se engancha al mismo instrumento.

A passport per pan

Where it was born, which notes it has, how it sounded on day one. The instrument is the account — you don’t need to sign up to read one.

Buying without faith

New from the workshop and second-hand from other players. The passport does the vouching, so nobody has to take anyone’s word for anything.

Someone to look after it

Steel moves. Find a tuner near you, and the visit lands on the passport by itself. Instruments outlive us; the paperwork should too.

The people

Festivals, recordings, first pans, bad days at the bench. Mostly decent humans being decent to each other about a very young instrument.

Why it spins

Un instrumento, una historia que no para de girar.

01Bornthe maker seals its passport & fingerprint
02Solddrop, custom or second-hand with escrow
03Livedmilestones, festivals, clips
04Careda nearby tuner, logged on the pan

Pull up a chair

You don't need to own one. Plenty of us got here after hearing a handpan in a park and not being able to stop thinking about it. Black sheep welcome — it’s mostly what we are.
